4 snowflakes 40 inches in diameter and 2 snowflakes 30 inches in diameter were cut from 1/2" MDF using the CNC.

 

First, I researched snowflake images on Google and found a few designs that were favored. The images were placed into Illustrator, drafted by Rachel Bath, and exported as a dwg in AutoCAD. I exploded all the lines and redrafted both snowflakes. 

 

Next, the dwg files were programed in VCarve and cut on the CNC with the ShopBot3 program. The edges were sanded down once all the snowflakes were cut.
